Is my drinking horn safe to drink from?

Absolutely. Norse Tradesman uses food safe lacquer to coat the inside of the horn. This is the same type of sealant that is used to coat salad bowls and wooden utensils.

Is my drinking horn dishwasher safe?

No, you fool. Did the Norsemen use dishwashers?

How do I clean my drinking horn?

Wash with cool water before after use, using mild soap and a soft sponge or brush. Also, remember to wash your horn before its first use.

Can I use my drinking horn for hot beverages, such as coffee?

This would not be wise, as horns can warp when exposed to extreme temperatures.

Is the mug shown on your website the same mug that I will receive?

No. Each horn comes from a different animal and is completely unique.

What kind of animal do your horns come from?

Norse Tradesman harvests the highest quality ox and cow horns from produce farms where the animals are slaughtered for meat. Like our forefathers, we believe that no part of an animal should be wasted.

Will my drinking horn smell like manure?

Most horns have little-to-no smell at all. However, the occassional horn could have an upleasant odor.

How do I remove an unpleasant odor from my horn?

If you happen to receive a more potent horn, try rubbing lemon peels or a few drops of essential lemon oil on the interior of the mug and let it sit for 24 hours.

Do you ship outside of the United States?

As of now, we ship to the USA. We do not currently ship internationally but we will be expanding to Canada and the EU very soon.

How long will it take to receive my goods?

At checkout, you can request one of three shipping speeds: Standard delivery (1 day processing and 3-5 business days shipping), Expedited delivery (two-day delivery), or Priority delivery (next day delivery).

Does Norse Tradesman offer a warranty on horn products?

Yes! All drinking horns and tankards come with a 1 Year Quality Guarantee. If your horn product suffers from a *serious defect in workmanship or materials within the first year, send a photo of the issue to support@norsetradesman.com, and we will send you a refund or a replacement, free of charge.

  • Faulty drinking horns stands that do not support the horn.
  • Significant splitting not caused by blunt trauma.

Can I return my item if it doesn't have a serious defect?

You may return your item within 30 days of the purchase date for any reason you choose. To request a return, email us at support@norsetradesman.com. We will reply with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form and a link to print your return shipping label. Once we receive the returned item(s), we will refund your full payment.

Can I return my item after 30 days?

Only if your item is under warranty and suffers from a major defect. However, if your items does develop an issue after 30 days, contact us and we shall do our best to solve the problem.
